Financial planning is the following:
Determine what you own including income (assets); determine what your expenses are along with debt (liabilities); then figure out how to pay for it all in the most efficient way possible. If there’s anything left over it’s important to figure out what to do with it… how to invest it.
Practically everyone you contact for “financial planning” has something that they are going to want to sell you. I do not. My objective, for the same fee I charge for tutoring, is to help folks make sense of their financial situation, develop a plan and not feel like the victims of a lot of bad luck.
The first and most important step of the

whole process is to OBJECTIFY your financial resources and needs. What you have to do, and a scary thing for most of us, is to PUT IT ON PAPER.  Amazingly, putting it in writing usually has a way of lessening fear rather than creating it.
With these facts you can begin to see the truth of your situation and consider what can be done to make the truth what you’d like it to be. If there are financial tools that can help you accomplish those goals I will advise you accordingly.
Of course all of this is done on a completely confidential basis.  What my clients choose to share with me stays with me.
